Hechi opens government affairs to the public

The sixth open government affairs day was held in Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on May 27.

A total of 28 departments under the direct authority of the municipal government, including the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Public Security Bureau and Bureau of Land and Resources, set up information desks during the event.

The goal of the event is to increase transparency in government processes and information, improve administrative services and public resources management and provide a sound business environment.

Citizens can experience firsthand how the government works at the administrative service center, give suggestions, and better understand business policies.

In recent years Hechi has made progress in streamlining administrative procedures and shortening processing times. Transparency in government affairs has been significantly improved and public participation has increased.

Administrative service centers at all levels in Hechi reviewed procedures for 547,000 administrative approval items in 2017, a year-on-year increase of 3.6 percent.
