Ironkids triathlon race held in Hohhot

An Ironkids triathlon race was held in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on May 27.

Established in 2004, Ironkids is a brand of the World Triathlon Corporation. Facilities for the event were designed to international standards, providing a challenging experience for every participant.

Nearly 300 children took part in the race, where they were divided into three different groups based on age.

One group ran 400m, one ran 600m and another ran 800m.

Children were only given medals if they completed the race; a decision designed to motivate them while completing the challenge.

The event was organized by Hohhot Sports Bureau, Hohhot Sports Federation and Wanda Group.
