Satellite navigation conference underway in Harbin

The 9th China Satellite Navigation Conference (CSNC2018) is being held in Harbin, Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province from May 23 to 25. It reveals the development trend and latest innovation technologies in the sector of satellite navigation.

Sponsored by Academic Exchange Centre of China Satellite Navigation Office, this year’s conference is themed “location, time of augmentation”. 

Around 2,500 scholars and experts from China, America, Russia and Europe will deliver speeches and exchange academic achievements regarding the application and signal of satellite navigation technologies, test and assessment technologies of BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, as well as positioning, navigation and timing( PNT) technologies.

In addition to academic exchanges, other activities such as high-end forums, exhibition and science will also be held, in an effort to encourage mass participation and promote international cooperation.

Harbin is the ninth city to hold China Satellite Navigation Conference since 2010, following cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. 

China Satellite Navigation Conference is one of the three most influential satellite navigation academic conferences in the world.

It aims to enhance academic innovation to promote cooperation and exchanges in the field of satellite navigation, strengthening technological innovation to accelerate engineering construction of satellite navigation systems, intensifying theoretical innovation to facilitate theory progress of satellite navigation and reinforcing application innovation to boost the development of the satellite navigation industry.
