Jiujiang Economic-Technological Development Zone

Jiujiang Economic-Technological Development Zone was established in Jiujiang of Jiangxi province in 1992. It became a national level development zone in March 2010.

With a total planning area of 2.81 square kilometers, Jiujiang Export Processing Zone is located in the development zone. The first phase of the processing zone is 0.987 square kilometers and it was put into operation in June 2006.

Covering a land of approximately 140 square kilometers, the development zone administers one township, two farms, three communities, and four industrial parks (i.e. the processing zone, Chengxi Port Area, Automobile Industrial Park, and Science and Technology Industrial Park), with a population of approximately 200,000.

In 2016, its main industrial operation income reached 106.28 billion yuan, with an industrial added value of 23.88 billion yuan, total fiscal revenue of 6.067 billion yuan, social fixed assets investment of 29.04 billion yuan, and exports of $1.258 billion. Its comprehensive strength ranks 53rd in the 219 national economic development zones and is among the top in 68 ones in central China.

Industries:

High-end equipment manufacturing, new materials and new energy, smart appliances, electronic information and communications, environmental protection and energy conservation and new energy auto manufacturing, fast-moving consumer goods and emerging service industry.
