The Ministry of Justice officially launched an online legal services platform on Sunday.
According to reports, the platform, which provides information on more than 380,000 legal service organizations and more than 1.39 million legal service personnel, offers information on legal affairs consultancy, legal service guidance, laws and regulations as well as legal cases. During a six month pilot period, the platform provided legal services more than 80,000 times. This shows there is a huge demand for legal consultations and resolving conflicts and disputes.
With the rapid development of internet plus and big data, the application of the internet, big data and artificial intelligence provides the public with more convenient and efficient ways to access legal services. The online platform establishes a nationwide unified internet plus public legal service system, which is important for the implementation of law-based governance.
Minister of Justice Fu Zhenghua said at the launch ceremony for the platform that it should be a "legal Taobao platform", a comprehensive legal online platform that provides most authoritative, all-round legal services.
This means effectively integrating the various operational functions of the judicial administration, scientifically configuring legal service resources, accelerating the docking of relevant government related departments and judicial organs, and promoting the realization of data sharing.
