Lilac blossoms add color to Harbin

Lilac trees in Harbin are currently in full bloom, adding vitality and fragrance to the whole city.

Lilacs are the city flower of Harbin, which has around 1.28 million trees.

Harbin is promoting its famous lilac landscapes by expanding the planting area of lilac trees in parks, squares and streets in the downtown area.

To extend the period of flowering to two months, the whole city will plant another 80,000 lilac trees of different varieties by the end of May 20.
