China-Hungary friendship event opens in Shenyang

The China (Liaoning). Hungary Friendship Week kicked off in Shenyang, capital city of Liaoning province on May 8.

The event is a platform for Hungary to promote its culture, food and tourism in Shenyang; and it’s also a good opportunity to strengthen cultural exchanges between the two sides.

The friendship week has four themed activities including picture exhibitions, sampling Hungarian delicacies and artist exchange meetings.

An opening ceremony for the friendship week was held at Liaoning Grand Theater on May 8. Around 200 government officials, students and artist representatives attended the ceremony, with music, singing and dancing performed for the guests.

The event was sponsored by Liaoning Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Liaoning Provincial Office for Foreign Affairs, and the Embassy of Hungary.
