3rd phase of Canton Fair spotlights hi-tech products

The third phase of the 123rd Canton Fair opened in its permanent host city of Guangzhou on May 1.

The third phase of the fair features office supplies, cases & bags, recreational products, medical devices, health products, food, textile & garments, and shoes. The most eye-catching and crowded exhibition areas have been the ones that are displaying innovative high-tech products.

Shanghai Decent Bags has been attending the Canton Fair for the last 15 years. The exhibitor showed an advertisement slogan stressing the convenience and eco-friendliness of its cases & bags at the fair. According to the staff members on site, the company spends five percent of its annual revenue on product R&D, which includes the improvement of materials and designs. Its cases are over 10 percent lighter than similar cases on the market; thus, the products have proven to be very popular with turnover growing at a pace of five to ten percent each year. 

Other popular products at the exhibition area for cases & bags included a suitcase that automatically follows its owner and a backpack with a built-in umbrella. The suitcase is equipped with multiple functions including theft prevention and power-assisted steering. On a full charge, the suitcase can travel as far as 12 kilometers. The backpack received over a hundred inquiries from interested purchasers within several hours after its exhibition booth was opened.

Another eye-catching product worth mentioning at the fair is a thermos bottle. According to the exhibitor, the bottle can maintain a water temperature of 70 degrees Celsius for nine hours and the water temperature of 95 degrees Celsius for five hours, which is quite useful for parents who need to prepare milk formula for infants when outside of the home.
