Aerospace Industry

Shenzhen's aviation industry achievements have been quite striking, and an industry chain covering fields that include airworthiness certification, aviation electrical parts, airborne modules, drones, and airport ground installation manufacturing has taken shape. The space industry has also begun to reach impressive heights: Shenzhen has already become an important R&D and manufacturing base for micro-satellites, component parts for satellite navigation, end equipment, etc. 

The size of Shenzhen's aerospace industry is about 50 billion yuan, and its primary local industrial zones/parks include the Shenzhen Nanshan Aviation Electronics Industrial Park and the Northwestern Polytechnical University's Aviation Production Base. Two of the better known Shenzhen-based enterprises are DJI Innovations and CATICSZ.
