The No 3 People's Hospital of Qingdao was founded in 1931. Its predecessor was the Christian Hospital founded by the Christian Church of the United States. 

It is a directly subordinated tertiary comprehensive hospital with an area of 60,000 square meters and a floor area of 81,000 square meters. It has 800 beds and more than 30 clinical medical departments and medical laboratories.

The Department of Gastroenterology of this hospital is a key medical service provider in Qingdao. In addition, the “radio frequency treatment for fibroids” in gynecology and obstetrics and the “diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases” in neurology, as well as the department of cardiology, are all specialties in Qingdao.
