A delegation of 25 government officials, writers, directors, designers and online celebrities from Orleans, France visited Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, from April 18-20.

During their stay in Yangzhou, the delegation visited many tourist attractions, including Slender West Lake, the only scenic spot in Yangzhou to receive a national 5A-level ranking for its enchanting natural landscape, and Dongguan Street, an important Yangzhou thoroughfare during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and now a symbol of local culture, business and entertainment.

The French delegation highly praised the trip, saying that they enjoyed Yangzhou's beautiful scenery, increased their understanding of the city, and were looking forward to sharing their experiences with their friends.

"It's my second time visiting Yangzhou. I feel privileged to be here, as I enjoy its beauty and the hospitality of its people," said Martine Grivot, vice mayor of Orleans.

She also invited her Yangzhou counterparts to visit Orleans in the near future, hoping to take the two cities' tourism and cultural exchanges to a new level.
