Pingtan impression heads for Kunming stage

Yang Liping, one of China's most famous dancers, directed her first dance drama about ocean culture.

As the eighth dance drama Yang's directed. Pingtan Impression is focused on the history of the sea and culture in East China's Fujian province and Taiwan.

"I want the audience to see and feel the traditional culture of China. The soul of Pingtan Impression is about local tradition and I hope we can use this dance drama to show it," Yang said.
