An annual scientific and technological achievement fair opened in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province on April 17, aiming to forge closer ties between local industries, colleges and universities, and research institutes.

This is the sixth year that Yangzhou has held the fair, with this year's event attracting nearly 100 renowned universities and research institutes boasting around 300 research findings and more than 5,000 scientific and technological achievements waiting to be commercialized in Yangzhou.

Some cutting-edge technologies and products on show left a deep impression on visitors. For example, Aipatch, a type of intelligent eye mask, can read the user's real-time pressure, energy and fatigue, work out personalized training plans, and guide the user in sleep and relaxation.

"Unlike ordinary eye masks, Aipatch offers customized and sophisticated solutions for sleeping disorders and helps users regain energy in a short period of time," said Liu Shihong, developer and business director of the CherubiMind (Beijing) Technology Co.

Other leading technologies and products on display include an electric bike designed by Nanjing University of Science and Technology, which can carry a mother and her child simultaneously and is powered by a machine that directly generates the user's treading force into electricity.
