Yangzhou recently launched a new travel brochure introducing its updated travel information, in a bid to help tourists discover the "essence" of Yangzhou and enhance their comfort and satisfaction while touring the city.
A batch of scenic spots, travelling routes and tips has been included in the brochure.
"We edit the brochure completely from the perspective of tourists to introduce them to all the updated travel information in the city," said an officer from the Yangzhou tourism bureau.
A total of 20 newly-built tourist attractions are promoted in the brochure, including the Great Canal Sanwan Scenic Area, the Huadu Ecological Park, the Macro Polo Flowers Ocean and the 1912 Town.
The brochure also highlights the city's festivals and large-scale events, giving tourists an overall understanding of Yangzhou's fun activities all year round. Events such as the Slender West Lake Flower Festival, the Guazhou Music Festival, the Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half Marathon and the Ganquan Cherry Blossom Festival are introduced to lure more tourists to the vibrant city.
Short-term tourism products such as one, two or three-day tours themed around "flower admiring", "ancient town visiting", "cultural legacy experiencing" and "ecology village touring" are recommended in the brochure, offering more choices for tourists.
The brochure is available at the city's tourist service centers. According to the Yangzhou bureau of tourism, it will also be distributed to guest rooms of the city’s star hotels.
