Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences

Founded in 1950, the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, is a comprehensive marine scientific research institution engaged in basic research and application of marine science, and high-tech research and development. 

Since its establishment, the institute has obtained more than 900 scientific research achievements, won 6 national first prizes, 24 national second prizes, 15 national scientific conference awards, and 16 international awards; more than 9,400 papers (including over 2,600 SCI/EI articles) and 210 monographs by its faculty have been published and 7 international invention patents and over 270 national invention patents have been obtained.
