Dalian Friendship Hospital

Founded in the 1940s, Dalian Friendship Hospital（大连友谊医院）, which was previously the Sino-Soviet Hospital, was renamed by the Dalian government in 1982. 

With 1,200 beds, some 60 clinical departments and 300 senior physicians, the hospital integrates the functions of medicine, rehabilitation, scientific research and teaching.

The hospital’s six departments are recognized as key municipal-level facilities. They are the departments of hepatological surgery, urology, ultrasound diagnosis, neurology, respiratory medicine and geriatrics.

The newly-built emergency building of the Dalian Friendship Hospital opened on July 31, 2018. The new building covers an area of 44,000 square meters and has received total investment of 390 million yuan ($ 57.22 million).

The new emergency building was built on the original site of the old outpatient building. In order to create a safe and highly-efficient medical environment, the new building was equipped with high-end automated machines and a digital registration system.
