Liaoning Province Shiyan High School

Liaoning Province Shiyan High School is directly subordinate to the Department of Education of Liaoning Province and is the first demonstrative regular high school in Liaoning province. Liaoning Province Shiyan High School, which began as Dongbei Shiyan School on May 4, 1949, was the first experimental school following the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

It covers an area of 100,000 square meters including a building area of 63,000 square meters. It has more than 2,000 students and offers 42 classes. In addition, there are 176 teachers, including 13 special-grade teachers, 80 senior teachers and four foreign teachers. Nearly 70 percent of the teachers have master's degrees. Among the teachers, there are 86 graduate students and three doctors.

The school has cultivated nearly 40,000 outstanding graduates for the country. Among them there are members of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, members of the National Public Congress Standing Committee, famous scientists, artists, and entrepreneurs.

It has established inter-school cooperative relationships with more than 50 famous civil schools and many secondary schools and universities, including in the United States, Britain, Germany, Canada, and Australia. At present, teachers and students of the school are working hard to achieve the goal of becoming a national first-class school.
