Baotou is a transportation hub for the Beijing-Baotou, Baotou-Lanzhou and Baotou-Xi’an railways.
There are many railway stations in Baotou, with Baotou Station and East Baotou Station the most important, and West Baotou Station the largest marshaling yard in Inner Mongolia.
