Shenzhen Metro

Ticket Types:

Single ticket

Single tickets are charged by staged mileage and the common single ticket price. The starting fare is 2 yuan for 4km travel. Single ticket shared mileage fare is 1 yuan for 4km for travel where the distance travelled is from 4 to 12km. Single ticket shared mileage fare is 1 yuan for 6km for travel where the distance travelled is from 12 to 24km. Single ticket shared mileage fare is 1 yuan for 8km for travel where the distance travelled is over 24km.

Shenzhen Tong Card

Preferential fare:

1. Passengers can enjoy a discount of 5% for rail transit fare.

2. Transfer to Shenzhen rail transit from bus using the Shenzhen Tong card must be made within 90 minutes. Passengers will enjoy a 5% discount on rail transit fare, and a further preferential 0.4 yuan/per time rate.

Use instructions:

1.Metro station will not accept the card returns or changes.

2.From Sep 1, 2016, the holder of the Shenzhen Tong card after enjoying the discount can visit a Shenzhen Tong customer service site to ask for a saving invoice by submitting their saving receipt.

Student Card

Preferential fare: 50% discount

Use instructions:

1.Students under 18 years old in middle school and primary school, and full-time high school registered in the Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau and under the unified governmental management (including common and vocational high schools) are eligible.

2.Passengers with large luggage should buy a luggage ticket instead.

Shenzhen Children Fare Card

Preferential fare: Free to 50% off

Use instructions:

1. Applicable only to children under 14 years old.

2. Children under 6 years old can use the card to take Shenzhen rail transit for free; children between 6 and 14 years old can enjoy 50% discount of the full fare to take Shenzhen rail transit.

Sectional times-counted ticket

Use instructions:

1. Issued at occasion in limited amount, for metro only.

2. Passengers must take the metro during the valid period and in the defined section, with times limited. Passengers that take trans-sectional metro must pay the excess fare according to the maximum ticket price for single travel of the starting station. The ticket will not be returned after expiry, and can be kept as souvenir by passengers.

3. No loss reports, no changes or returns, and no extension are available.

4. Each single travel must be made within 210 minutes. If passengers go over that time, please visit the station customer service center to deduct one time of riding and then update data.

5. Passengers with large luggage should buy a luggage ticket instead.

Daily ticket

Preferential fare: 25 yuan/ticket

Use instructions:

1. To be used in the defined period; passengers may take Shenzhen rail transit without times/mileage counting within 24 hours from the first reading, and they must finish their last exit within 27.5 hours.

2. No return or refund after sales.

3. Passengers with large luggage should buy a luggage ticket instead.

Luggage ticket

In normal station operation, luggage tickets are sold through the customer service center, where customers will receive a bill of material (BOM). Passengers should keep the white sheet, while the red sheet is kept by the station.

Use instructions:

1.Passenger with articles of over 20kg and less than 30kg, or articles with the sum of length, width, and height of over 1.4m and less than 1.6m, should buy a luggage ticket with fare equal to the common single ticket at the customer service center.

3. Any article with a weight of over 30kg or sum of length, width, and height of over 1.6m may not be brought into the station.
