Dalian University of Technology

Dalian University of Technology (DUT) was the first formal university of a new type founded by the Communist Party of China on the eve of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, for the construction of a national industrial system.

DUT is a national key university administered directly by the Ministry of Education of China. Also sponsored by Project 211 and Project 985, DUT fosters elites, promotes science and technology, encourages excellent cultural traits, and guides the surrounding social climate according to its spirit and mission. “Unity and Progress, Truth and Innovation” signifies the school’s devotion to the creation, discovery, sharing, conservation and application of knowledge, and its endeavors to undertake the social responsibilities that best serve the country and the world.
