The Yudao (Hot Spring) Resort

The Yudao Resort is located on the picturesque Techeng Island. It is a natural hot spring resort that is located on an island, which is rare in China. Techeng Island faces downtown Zhanjiang across the sea. To its east lies the Pacific Ocean. It is 2.8 nautical miles away from downtown Zhanjiang, and takes only eight minutes to get there.

The island covers an area of 3.6 square kilometers. There are seven natural villages. Among the 4,500 registered residents, about 2,000 live on the island permanently. The island boasts beautiful scenery. It has a primitive 1,000-mu (about 66 hectares) mangrove forest, which is at least 500 years old and currently under the Grade A state protection. There is also a large ecological marsh area on the island.
