Guangdong Wuchuan Economic Development Zone

The Wuchuan Economic Development Zone in Guangdong province was first established in October, 1992 and approved to be a provincial level economic development zone in March, 1997.

The zone is located in the south of Wuchuan city, covers 860 hectares and is convenient to travel to by both land and water. The zone is about 40 kilometers away from Zhanjiang port and airport, and 30 kilometers from Shuidong port. It is a place in west Guangdong province with a great potential to take over the industries transferred from the Pearl River Delta.

Key industries in the zone include down products, electric devices, household appliance, animal feeds, moon cakes, jellyfish, plastics and recycling of waste materials.
