Liaoning overseas business promotion conference held in Shenyang

Liaoning province held a business promotion conference targeting overseas Chinese business people in its capital city of Shenyang on March 21.

A total of 20 business representatives from the United States, South Korea, South Africa and Australia attended the conference.

Liaoning is an open province that has economic and trade relations with over 200 countries, said Ying Zhongyuan, director of Liaoning Overseas Chinese Affairs Office.

As of 2017, the number of foreign enterprises that invest in Liaoning exceeded 60,000; and in line with Liaoning’s “Go Out” Strategy, around 2,000 Liaoning enterprises have started businesses in over 100 countries and regions.

Currently, Liaoning has good development opportunities with establishing the Liaoning Provincial Trial Free Trade Zone and carrying out the Northeast China old industry base rejuvenation strategy. Ying expressed his hopes that more overseas Chinese could invest in Liaoning to boost the economic and social development of the province.
