Fudan International MBA program

Fudan International MBA Program was launched in 1996 through a collaboration between the Fudan University School of Management and the MIT Sloan School of Management. The curriculum of the IMBA Program is jointly developed by the two schools, with the objective of cultivating senior managers with an international perspective and entrepreneurial spirit, well-adjusted to the demands of economic globalization and Chinese enterprises. IMBA Program participants who complete all required courses and a thesis are awarded a MBA diploma from Fudan University and a course certificate from MIT Sloan.  

The IMBA Program implements many of the teaching methods of MIT Sloan, such as case studies, group discussions, computer simulations and consulting programs. The Program is designed to improve the students’ analytical and problem-solving abilities. All program’s teaching materials are in English. Two years of full time study equips students with a great deal of new concepts and practices, which will help them to become more effective managers in their former or new career fields. Full time study also exposes students to the rich cultural environment at Fudan University.

Fudan IMBA Curriculum

Compulsory courses provide knowledge, skills and techniques used to improve business performance. Financial Accounting, Managerial Economics, Data & Models and Decisions, Marketing Management, Cooperate Finance, Management of Information System, Business Ethics, Strategic Management, Managerial Communication, Organizational Process and Behavior, Operations Management, Business English (Not required for international students), Politics (Required for local students)

Elective Courses - Human Resource Management, International Financial Management, Transnational Management, Entrepreneurial Marketing, Management Consulting.

Corporate Practice Courses - Leveraging on the resources of the enterprises and the strengths of School of Management, a series of Corporate Practice Courses have been designed and conducted to incorporate students’ skills gained from classroom to the real business world, and thus to develop talents in special fields.
