Guanghua School of Management MBA Program was launched in 2000 as it further expanded internationally, partnered with prestigious business schools - ESSEC Business School (France), WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management (Germany), Schulich School of Business, York University (Canada), Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA), McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin (USA), Michael G. Foster School of Business, University of Washington (USA), National University of Singapore (Singapore), Graduate School of Business, Seoul National University (South Korea), Graduate School of Business, Yonsei Universtiy (South Korea), Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy, Hitotsubashi University (Japan). It is uniquely designed to develop graduates with global perspective, significant leadership quality and advanced business knowledge.

The Guanghua MBA program is taught through required core courses providing a well-balanced general management education, while elective courses allow students to tailor their MBA to their specific interests. The second year is structured to allow students to undertake internships or other professional projects alongside academic study.

Pre-course
All MBA students are invited to attend an optional pre-course prior to the start of the semester. The course provides refresher and introductory courses in a number of subjects such as statistics, accounting, microeconomics, presentation skills, PowerPoint, Excel and Chinese language to prepare new students for the semester ahead.

Core Courses
In the first year of the MBA, core courses will provide you with a well-balanced general management education in managerial economics, marketing management, corporate finance, strategic management, organizational behavior and operations management. You will be required to accrue 31 credits through core courses.

Integrated Practicum Project
This required course is an experiential learning experience that provides students with an opportunity to undertake a real life consulting project for an external client. Students have the opportunity to apply their knowledge to a real business problem, and have an insight into business in China. The ideal way to expand your professional network in China.

Elective Courses
In the second year, students can tailor their MBA to their specific interests by selecting from over 30 different elective courses, in areas such as strategy management, accounting, finance, entrepreneurship, marketing, human resource management and information management. You will be required to accrue 14 credits through elective courses.

Scholarships

Entrance Scholarship (Only available to the candidates who are on the 1st &2nd round) Guanghua School of Management provides entrance scholarships to selected outstanding applicants who demonstrate strong business management potential throughout the admissions process.

Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS) scheme is established by the Ministry of Education of P.R. China in accordance with educational exchange agreements or understandings reached between Chinese government and governments of other countries, organizations, education institutions and relevant international organizations to provide both full scholarships and partial scholarships to international students and scholars.

Merit-based Scholarships - Guanghua School of Management also offers several scholarship programs every year and admitted students are able to apply for them during their 2nd and 3rd semester. In assessing merit, Guanghua considers a variety of factors, including exceptional academic performance, leadership, professional accomplishments, service, and ability to contribute to the diversity of the Guanghua community. Currently, Guanghua School of Management has the following scholarship programs: Microsoft-Guanghua Innovation Scholarship, Olympus Scholarship, PKU-GlaxoSmithkline Scholarship, Lingrui Pharmaceutical Scholarship, Lee & Li Attorneys At law Scholarship, Robin LI Yanhong (CEO, Baidu) Scholarship, Tokyo-Mitsubishi Scholarship, Wu Si Scholarship.
