The ingredients of sweet peanut soup are simple, but its cooking process is quite complex. First, you have to use boiled water to soak the peanuts, and then peel off their skin. Afterwards, use a pressure cooker to cook the peanuts. Once the peanut is thoroughly cooked, put sugar into the cooker and continue to cook it until the peanuts are completely soft. It is advised to enjoy the sweet peanut soup alongside one of the other specialties, such as deep fried dough sticks, deep-fried jujube, fried leek dumplings, meat buns, sweet buns and fried glutinous rice, etc. The most renowned and well known peanut soup is in Huang Zehe at Zhongshan Road (a famous Xiamen snack store).
