Qingdao Underwater World is a famous scenic spot in Qingdao. Mainly composed of an intertidal zone, an undersea tunnel and a four-storey underwater sightseeing building, it covers an area of 7,000 square meters and holds 4,000 tons of water. The intertidal zone is 35 meters long and the undersea tunnel is up to 86.2 meters long by 2.8 meters wide. Walking in the tunnel is just like walking in the ocean, with different kinds of fishes swimming around. You can also see performances in the water, like “dance with the shark” and “the fantasy mermaid".

The four-storey underwater sightseeing building has the largest cylindrical water tank in Asia with a height of 7.6 meters, displaying precious and valuable corals. There are also jellyfish aquarium, the museum specimens and freshwater fish aquarium for visitors.
Qingdao Underwater World combines underwater tourism with popular marine science, which makes it a unique scenic spot on the golden coast of Qingdao.
