Bid-based construction project provisions approved

The State Council issued a circular approving provisions on construction projects for which bid invitation must be conducted.

The National Development and Reform Commission is responsible for publishing the provisions and deciding on the date of enforcement, according to the circular.

Once put into force, the provisions on the scope and threshold of construction projects for bid invitation, approved by the State Council and promulgated by the former State Development Planning Commission in 2000, will be abolished, the circular stated.
