Skiing is one of the most popular winter sports. Covering an area of 100,000 square meters, the Culai Mountain ski resort is the largest outdoor ski field in Tai'an, with a total investment of 20 million yuan ($3.13 million).

The ski resort is only 10 kilometers away from the downtown area. Its highest attitude is 200 meters, with a vertical drop of about 100 meters. It enjoys a snow period of about 150 days.

Currently, four ski runs are in service at the resort –two for beginners, one for intermediate learners and one for advanced skiers.
