Guizhou deputies focus on people's quality of life

Issues concerning people's quality of life, like in education and health care, have become hot topics among deputies to the 13th National People's Congress from Southwest China's Guizhou province during the two sessions.

Shi Huifen, NPC deputy, teacher from a special needs school in Wuchuan Gelao and Miao autonomous county: 

Special needs education in my hometown has become more and more developed throughout the years, with school infrastructure and teaching equipment gradually improving over time. 

Wu Minglan, NPC deputy, teacher from Liupanshui Experimental Primary School: 

We should pay more attention to education inequality between the rural and urban areas in our province, so as to ensure that every child has an equal opportunity to succeed. 

Zha Yan, NPC deputy, director of the Nephrology Department at Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital: 

Low-income families have benefited greatly from the quadruple medical insurance system carried out in Guizhou province, which is the first of its kind in China. 

Tuo Bixian, NPC deputy, doctor from the Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical College: 

To produce a greater number of superior medical professionals, Guizhou needs to focus on the construction of first-class medical schools.
