Ferid Murad becomes SMC honorary professor

Professor Ferid Murad paid a visit to Shenyang Medical College (SMC) in Northeast China’s Liaoning province on March 11.

He delivered an academic report on medical research during his Shenyang trip; and he was hired as the honorary professor of Shenyang Medical College.

Murad is a physician and pharmacologist. He won the 1998 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his discoveries concerning cyclic GMP as a signaling molecule in the cardiovascular system.
