Shenyang awards honor contributions to arts

An awards ceremony for people making special contributions to the city’s culture and art was held in Shenyang, Liaoning province, on March 3. 

A total of 14 winners received the award, in areas including art, music and architectural design.

The activity was themed on “My home is in Northeast China”, with the aim of encouraging more Shenyang-born professionals to return to the city. 

Members from the Children’s Choir of Shenyang Daily sang “Welcome to Shenyang” at the ceremony, and gave prizes to the winners.
