12,000 jobs up for grabs in Sanmenxia

Sanmenxia, Central China's Henan province hosted a job fair in Hubin Square on Feb 27.

The event was hosted by the Sanmenxia Municipal Human Resource and Social Security Bureau to satisfy employment demands of local migrant workers and encourage talents to return to their hometown to start new businesses.

A total of 18,000 jobseekers attended the job fair, hoping to land one of the 12,000 positions offered by nearly 300 companies. Some of the jobs on offer included positions in architecture, communication, property and education.

An information desk was set up to provide free career guidance and policy services pertaining to labor rights and interests.

The job fair successfully employed more than 5,000 of the attendees.

After the fair, the organizer will contact job-seekers in person or by phone for follow-up information.

The remaining companies and job-seekers will receive online services to try to meet their demands.
