The city of Ordos has secured a branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) to help the city improve its early warning mechanisms for trade friction, according to a recent local news release.

CCPIT approved the application filed by the Ordos Council for the Promotion of Trade to obtain a CCPIT branch, marking Ordos as the second city in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region to reach this attainment.

As Ordos’s foreign trade expands, the city’s export-oriented companies are faced with greater risks of trade friction.

The establishment of the organization will help companies in Ordos to better control the challenges of trade friction as well as participate in the deliberation of WTO trade policies with CCPIT’s expert system.

It will also help improve the early warning mechanisms for trade friction in Ordos and allow the city’s export-oriented companies to further explore the international market.
