The Wuxi cultural delegation gave a wonderful performance on Feb 7 in Grenada, West Indies to celebrate the 44th anniversary of its Independence Day.

The show, which consisted of 14 performers from the Wuxi Song and Dance Troupe, featured traditional Chinese programs, including instrumental ensembles, singing and dancing, erhu performances, Kung Fu shows, and magic shows.

The show garnered applause from the audience. Overseas Chinese were excited to watch a traditional Chinese show in Grenada and expressed their desire to hold more performances like it in the future.

The Wuxi cultural delegation also visited Confucius Classrooms and agricultural construction projects in Grenada during the visit.

Located in the southeastern Caribbean, Grenada is known as Spice Island, as it is endowed with spices such as cinnamon, cloves, ginger, mace and allspice.

Various Chinese companies are currently investing in real estate, restaurants and aquatic products in Grenada.

In 2015, the two countries signed a mutual visa waiver agreement, allowing Chinese passport holders to enter Grenada without a visa and stay for up to 90 days.

However, there are currently no direct flights between China and Grenada. Chinese people usually have to transfer in the United States, Canada, Europe or other countries before arriving in Grenada.
