Jiuyuan district confirms key projects worth 110b yuan

Jiuyuan district has confirmed support for 116 key projects worth 110  billion yuan ($17 billion) for 2018, reports Baotou Daily.

The projects are each worth more than 1 billion yuan.

Projects worth 24 billion yuan are expected to be completed by the end of 2018.

Among the 116 projects, 81 are new and drawing investment of 53 billion yuan, with close to 15 billion yuan expected to be spent by the end of 2018. The rest are projects started before 2018 and are drawing total investment of 57 billion yuan, with about 9.6 billion expected to be utilized by the end of the year. 

Of the projects, 14 are in the primary industry of agriculture, 34 in the secondary industry of manufacturing, and 68 are in the tertiary industry, the service sector.
