Zhanjiang delegation active in Guangdong CPPCC

Zhanjiang's delegation actively participated in the 1st Session of the 12th Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) which rounded off in Guangzhou on Jan 27.

In total, 19 provincial CPPCC members and nine non-voting delegates from Zhanjiang analyzed and reviewed the work report for the greater good of Guangdong province.

During the five-day convention, the Zhanjiang team brought to attention 22 proposals across a variety of matters. The issues of industries, transport, education, ecology, countryside, tourism and poverty alleviation were all put up to the stage by the delegation's proposals.

A considerable number of suggestions was made by the delegation regarding the construction of a provincial marine science institute, the implementation of a land compensation standard based off market price and how to push forward city integration within the Beibu Gulf.

As the new year ushers in, all members of the Zhanjiang delegation have pledged to uphold the spirit of the assembly and perform their duties with utmost responsibility, while also undertaking the burden of improving Zhanjiang's socioeconomic standing.
