Pop music industry park built in Xiamen

The Xiamen Pop Music Industry Park has been put into operation, as announced during its opening ceremony on Jan 28.

Initiated by Xiamen Pop Music Association, the first pop music-themed industry park in Fujian province is expected to focus on copyright music, custom-made music, singer cultivation, activity planning as well as film and television production.

Creative product shops, cafes, restaurants, recording studios, rehearsal halls, music production rooms and other relevant functional zones have been established at the park.

The first Xiamen Pop Music Industry Forum was also held on the same day.

Zhang Hao, initiator of the industry park, delivered a keynote speech at the forum, expunding on the park's development direction.

Three dialogues, centering on becoming the indicator of music industry, perfecting copyright protection of digital music and improving the structure of the music industry in a new era, were conducted among renowned Chinese musicians, entrepreneurs from leading music enterprises and industry experts.

They analyzed the current situations of the music market in the coastal city and shared their opinions on how to help the music industry play a role in the economic and social development.
