Anyuan Bus's new automotive manufacturing base in Nanyang's Tanghe county went into operation on Jan 28, and will be focusing on electric cars and limousines.
Anyuan Bus is a Jiangxi-based enterprise specializing in the production of new energy cars, logistic vehicles, limousines, coaches and school buses.
It has invested 2 billion yuan ($316.47 million) in this project, which is expected to have an annual production capacity of 10,000 electric cars and 5,000 limousines.
The launch of this new manufacturing base is significant for Anyuan, as it will help the company realize the goals of going global, said Fang Jun, chairman of Anyuan.
The new manufacturing base was designed with the "Made in China 2025" strategy in mind. It will become an important generator of some 1,500 jobs and a further more 3,000 indirect job opportunities as it attracts more multinational auto component companies to settle down.
