Big data platform to push industry forward

The unveiling ceremony of the Inner Mongolia Federation of Big Data Industry was held in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Jan 22.

More than 500 officials from regional government bodies, experts, and representatives from leading enterprises participated in the ceremony.

“The federation will link the government and businesses to push forward the development of the big data industry,” said Zhuang Guangshou, deputy director of the big data authority in the region, speaking at the ceremony.

According to Zhang Guoliang, president of the federation, the association would be an integration platform to lead enterprises to exchange expertise and technologies.

It would also train qualified people and serve as a regulator to promote the take-off of the industry, Zhang added.

At present, 110 enterprises have joined the federation. As the first non-profit organization of the big data industry, it will gather more big data enterprises together to promote the healthy development of the industry.

The launch ceremony for an O2O platform for agricultural products was held the same day. The platform was the first key project of the Inner Mongolia Federation of Big Data Industry. It is aimed at building itself into a service platform for intelligent agriculture to promote the integration of farming and animal husbandry in the region.
