Nanyang Airport announced on Jan 25 that it will add 170 flights to assist with the Spring Festival travel rush from Feb 1 to March 12. These extra flights will head for the southern cities of Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Zhuhai.

There will be two Guangzhou and one Shenzhen flights daily. In response to the surging travel demand, the airport will use larger aircrafts on the Nanyang-Shenzhen air route to carry more passengers.

China Southern Airlines will also bring its "E-travel" concept to Nanyang Airport so that passengers can enjoy more convenience during the upcoming travel peak. By integrating internet with air travel, the carrier allows its customers to book tickets, choose seat, order food and trace flight information with just a few taps on their cellphone.
