Nanyang airport achieves tremendous growth in 2017

Nanyang Airport announced on Jan 18 that it handled 800,000 passengers in 2017, which is a record high increase of 28 percent from the previous year.

The airport's efforts in 2017 to diversify its air routes had a part to play in the massive increase of passenger. New air routes to Guiyang and Jieyang have come into operation, while more flights to the popular destinations of Tianjin and Haikou were added as well.

Currently, Nanyang Airport handles 174 flights to 15 major Chinese cities weekly. The wide variety of destinations include Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Tianjin, Nanning, Haikou, Kunming, Dalian and Xiamen.
