Huanggutun Incident Museum rated 3A scenic spot

The Huanggutun Incident Museum in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province, was approved as a national 3A-level tourist attraction on Dec 29, 2017. 

Established in 1913, the museum opened to the public in September 2015.

Consisting of five sections, the museum fully displays the causes and impact of the Huanggutun incident.

The incident was the assassination of Zhang Zuolin, a local warlord, by the Japanese army on June 4, 1928. It took place at Huanggutun Railway Station near Shenyang, where an explosion destroyed Zhang’s personal train and killed him. 

The museum is a city-level patriotism education base.
