Shandong province's achievements in cultural sector in 2017

Promoting protection, inheritance and development of fine traditional culture

So far, the province's 105 counties (including cities and districts), 807 towns (including sub districts) and 13,000 villages (including communities) have established venues to display local history and culture. The province advanced the implementation of "library + academy" model and accelerated the construction of centers for Confucian classics in both rural and urban areas.

The Shandong Library has set up 150 Nishan Academies in libraries across the province, 34 ones in communities and 20,001 Confucianism lecture rooms in rural areas, aiming to promote fine traditional culture.

Advancing cultural research and theoretical innovation

Shandong province has strengthened cooperation with local art academies in the field of research, in a bid to foster leading subjects in the field.
