Elion

1988 - At 28 years of age, Wang Wenbiao was appointed the manager of salt plant in the desert. He organized a 27 person ranger team to plant trees and protect the plants and decided to use 5 RMB from the sale of each ton of salt to spend on desertification control and building roads.

1991 - The salt plant turned loss to profit.

1995 - Elion Building Material (Group) was founded.

1999 - The first road across Kubuqi Desert was opened.

2000 - The company name was officially changed to Elion Resources Group. Its subsidiary Elion Clean Energy Co Ltd was listed in Shanghai A-share stock market with the stock code 600277.
Elion established the Kubuqi ecological project department to carry out desertification control projects.

2004 - Elion started to build the Elion Energy Recycling Economy Industrial Park.
The fifth road across Kubuqi Desert was opened.

2007 - Elion founded the Kubuqi International Desert Forum.

2010 - Elion established its public welfare foundation.
The construction of Elion Oriental School completed.

2011 - Elion started to build its desert ecological recycling industrial park. 
Elion's Beijing headquarters was established.

2012 - Elion completed the grid-connected power generation of Phase I PV project in Kubuqi Desert.

2013 - Elion Gas Co., Ltd. was established.

2014 - Elion rolled out the application of "Micro-fine Coal Atomization" technology.
Elion began its ecological project in Bashang, Hebei Province, for the Winter Olympic Games. 
Elion began its eco-restoration demonstration project in Southern Xinjiang.
Elion established Elion Ecological Restoration Co.

2015 - Elion launched the Green Silk Road Equity Investment Fund.
Elion established Elion Ecological Health Co. 
Elion began the ecological PV project in Zhangjiakou. 
According to the Report on Ecological Wealth Creation in China's Kubuqi Desert, which was published at the UN Climate Change Conference in Paris, Elion has created more than 460 billion yuan of ecological wealth.
2016 - Elion moved its headquarters and industrial units to Beijing's Central Business District.
Elion Financial Holdings (Shanghai) Co Ltd was incorporated in Shanghai's Free-Trade Zone. 
Elion reached a strategic agreement with Tianjin Teda F.C. which was renamed Tianjin Teda Elion F.C. for 2016 Chinese Super League and Chinese FA Cup. 
Wang Wenbiao received the National Award of Poverty Alleviation from the Chinese Government.
