Top 2 universities in Guangzhou set higher goals

Sun Yat-sen University and South China University of Technology, arguably the top 2 universities in Guangzhou, have recently announced their plans to become first-rate world universities by 2050.

Sun Yat-sen University, consistently ranked among China's top 10 comprehensive universities, is aiming to hit the top 100 in the world university rankings by 2030, and the top 50 by 2050.
