3. Blue Tears International Music Festival
The Blue Tears International Music Festival, featuring singers from both the mainland and Taiwan, will stir up the city's Longwangtou Beach again in October.
The festival, which is named after "blue tears", the blue glow created by a local species of crustacean that illuminates the sea around Pingtan at night, was a huge success when it was first held in 2016.

4. The 2nd Pingtan Cross-Straits Night Running Competition
The 2nd Pingtan Cross-Straits Night Running Competition will kick off in Pingtan in September as scheduled. Thousands of running enthusiasts are expected to take part in the nocturnal race.
