Jinjing Bay Hotel, the first five-star hotel to be built in Pingtan, Fujian province, has taken a further step toward completion and is expected to welcome its first guests in October.
With an investment of 225 million yuan ($32.6 million), the hotel situated adjacent to the headquarters for the administrative committee of Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone shall house 295 guest rooms, a VIP reception hall, around-the-clock restaurants, tearooms, bars and several other facilities.
According to Li Junting, general manager of the hotel, the new five-star resort will be used to accommodate top-level politicians and business leaders from home and abroad during their visits to Pingtan, giving a further impetus to the city's competitiveness as it seeks to attract investment.
