Long-term housing rentals were advanced for the first time at the Central Economic Work Conference, which concluded on Wednesday.
The conference advanced eight major tasks for next year, one of which was to promote housing rentals, in particular, long-term rentals.
For a long-term housing rental market to be established, the legitimate rights and interests of both the leasee/s and property owner/s need to be protected, and the development of specialized and institutionalized housing rental enterprises supported.
In addition, a long-term mechanism that promotes the steady and healthy development of the real estate market will be created and improved, and the consistency and stability of the real estate price control policies will be maintained to help keep rents stable.
Analysts say that developing the house rental market will be the core content of housing system reform next year. By regulating and developing the housing rental market, it is expected that renting a home will become an important way to meet the citizens' living demands. In addition, it is also expected that relevant policies, such as land policies and financial policies, will be carried out in the next stage.
