Silkworms and mulberries growing strong in Yizhou

Yizhou district in the city of Hechi, an important silkworm production base in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, is pushing ahead with the nation's strategy of "moving mulberries from the east to the west".

In 2017, a total of 346,800 mu (23,120 hectares) in Yizhou are dedicated to growing mulberries, with 58,000 tons' of production of fresh cocoons with a production value of 2.8 billion yuan ($423.37 million).
